BLS Healthcare Provider
Course Description The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills based on the new AHA Guidelines released in December 2005 for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.
People who should take this class: Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.
Initial class runs approx. 4.5 hours Recert approx. 2.5 hours
Heartsaver First Aid
Course Description The Heartsaver First Aid Course provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following an emergency until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel. The course also provides corporations with a complete health and safety training solution for First Aid, CPR and AED.
Course Length: 2 - 6 hours
Intended Audience: Persons assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community as well as those who want to learn first aid, CPR and AED skills. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer's efforts to comply with OSHA regulations, e.g., corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards and other individuals who want or need first aid training.

Heartsaver AED with Pediatric CPR Course Description
Course Description: The Heartsaver AED with Pediatric CPR Course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and use of an AED. Pediatric CPR skills may be taught if students live or work in a setting where children are present. Students also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and give first aid for choking for responsive adult, child and infant victims. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and choking.
Course Length: 4 hours
Intended Audience: Responders such as police, airline personnel, security personnel, corporate employees, family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, other rescuers, and those who need or want to learn CPR and how to operate an AED.

EMT Tutoring
Course Description This is a sit down session that will focus on the sections of your EMT class that you need to work on. We will give you tips for studying on your own and practice questions that you will most likely see on your tests. It can also be used to prepare for your national registry. This class does not provide continuing education credits.
